I don't understand...

-Why I'm supposed to care that John Travolta's son died. No, I'm not heartless.....but seriously, teenagers die every day. Of course it's sad, but just because this teenager was the son of someone famous, why do I have to hear 2o minutes of every hour of news coverage devoted to tracking his last moments alive, and trying to figure out exactly what was wrong with him, and trying to get his autopsy results, and wondering whether he was on medications, and interviewing the EMT on the scene, and blah blah blah.

-Am I supposed to be impressed when I see a commercial on January 6th advertising a movie claiming to be "The Best Movie of the Year!!!!!!" ? Come on people, it's January 6th.....this is probably the FIRST movie of the year! :-p

-Why do people get so obsessed with other people?? I have started reading a blog that I admit is pretty entertaining and fun.....but there are people who take this blog writer so seriously, and almost take what she writes as "gospel". And then there are those who are so "interested" in her life (read: obsessed) that they subscribe to something called "Twitter"....this is where she writes some silly little blurb every few hours (about things like relieving herself in a Subway cup, or her toddlers public poop disaster.....) and then whoever is subscribed via cell phone gets that blurb as a text message. Bo-ring. Get a life people. :-p

Maybe I'm just feeling really cynical today. Or maybe I just have too much common sense.

I get bored of "famous" people. Boring! It's sad when someone passes away. Anyone. Even someone I never knew. But it's more sad when it was someone I knew. Someone I care about and loved. It's sad that they lost their son. It's sad when Joe Blow lost his son too.

People are obsessed with famous people. It will always be like this. I choose to live in the real world and not base my life on a tv or movie character :P All trends are started by something or someone we see. Someone famous. Most trends are super stupid too :P

I always laugh when someone claims a movie to be the best movie of the year in the first couple months lol lame!

I love her blog too but I have to agree that there are some people who are borderline weird with how involved they are!!!

What blog?

I like twitter sometimes, but I get annoyed with how some people use it.

I feel horrible for John Travolta, but I'm also sad that their lives are SO out there. Nothing can be private. I would hate that with every fiber of my being. Can't we just let them grieve??? Maybe it's not our business all the details of his death, kwim?
